Women's Soccer Wins First Round of Playoffs

The Lady Pioneers won yesterday 10-0 against USC Salkehatchie in the first round of the playoffs. Freshman Cailyn Marrietti led the way scoring 3 goals (19th, 46th, and 52nd minutes). Marrietti also had one assist. Freshman Elizabeth McGee had 1 goal in the 12th minute plus 3 assists. Sophomore Remi Olalere had 1 goal (20th minute) and 1 assist. Sophomores Brittany Heri (4th minute) and AJ Gilmore (8th minute) each had 1 goal. Other Freshman scoring were Brionna Mack (21st minute), Alexis Arrington (32nd minute) and Elizabeth Temple (60th minute). Freshman Abreal Farr had 3 assists. Sophomore Stephanie Quirola and freshman Caroline Altman each had 1 assist. Freshman goalkeeper Jennifer Byrd set school records with her 7th straight shutout and 12th overall.
