Kajsa Mertens: Freshman for Women's Soccer Writes about Day 5 of Preseason!

 

 Today we met for training at 10. It was a very light training session since we were supposed to scrimmage that night. We worked on set pieces and who should be marking who when the ball is at a certain part of the field. After we grabbed lunch, Coach told us we would be meeting at 5 before the game. Just before five a storm rolled in and we had to cancel the scrimmage. Since we did not have a scrimmage we went to the gym and ran the whole time. We did four laps around the top of the gym them stretched. Then four more laps and stretched. Then we did eight laps. We jogged the short and sprint the longs. After that we did a small ab work out. After the ab workout was completed we did six laps around the top. We had to do these six laps in less than four minutes and thirty seconds. Everyone made the time so then we just jogged two more laps. After some stretching and a talk with Coach we were done with training for the day.
