Gage Acker: Freshman for Men;s Soccer Writes about Day 7 of Preseason!

Preseason life at SMC can be repetitive, strenuous, but above all worth it. Every morning, as a team we wake up at 7:00am to attend 7:30am breakfast. From there we have our first of two trainings. Usually a tactical or technical practice where we focus on how to move and flow as a team better in game-like situations. For example today we worked on defending out of the back. A type of practice that will give us the knowledge we need to beat very tough teams with attacking mindsets. After that we have lunch and a few much needed hours to rest our bodies. From here we go to our final practice of the day. This is usually held indoors, and this is the practice where our main focus is to better or bodies physically. In here we are either in the weight room lifting or doing groin prevention. To conclude, preseason trainings can be demanding at certain points but in the end it's all worth it if we want to reach all of our goals as a program, especially winning a National Championship.
