Women's Soccer Dominates USC-Lancaster

The Lady Pioneers evened their record at 2-2 overall and 1-1 in Region X play with a convincing 10-0 win over USC Lancaster.  The Lady Pioneers came out strong scoring 5 goals in the first 20 minutes. Sophomore forward Elizabeth McGee from Gaston, SC scored the first two goals at the 5th and 6th minutes and added an assist later on in the game.  Sophomore forward Cailyn Marietti from Charleston, SC added the next three goals at the 10th, 15th and 18th minutes.

Sophomore forward Alexis Arrington from Spartanburg, SC from added a goal in the 30th minute assisted by freshman Natalie Stark from Boiling Springs, SC.  Natalie Stark then finished the scoring in the first half with a goal in the 35th minute assisted by freshman Katie Garcia from Greenville, SC. Giving the Lady Pioneers a 7-0 halftime lead.  Sophomore defender Elizabeth Temple from Gilbert, SC open the scoring 5 minutes into the second half from an assist by freshman defender Kajsa Mertens from Travelers Rest, SC.  Kajsa Mertens then added the ninth goal of the game in the 56th minute on an assist from freshman defender Kolbi Crone from Summerville, SC.  The final goal was scored by Katie Garcia in the 64th minute assisted by freshman defender Emily Gualajara from Greenville, SC.
