Lady Pioneers Improve to 3-2

The Lady Pioneers traveled to Axton, VA to take on Patrick Community College.  After a slow start the Ladies were able to secure a 6-0 win.  Once again sophomore forward Elizabeth McGee open the scoring for the Lady Pioneers.  Scoring in the 20th minute and adding an assist later on. Sophomore forward Cailyn Marietti continued her scoring by putting the ball in twice, once in the 46th minute and again in the 70th minute to put the game away. Marietti also assisted on the first goal of the game. Scoring her first goal of the season was sophomore Caroline Altman, in the 25th minute assisted my sophomore Morgan Vega. Making the score 3-0 at half was sophomore Alexis Arrington scoring in the 43rd minute on an assist by freshman Adahi Alarcon.  Scoring her first collegiate goal was freshman Kassandra Young in the 65th minute on an assist by freshman Heather Turner.  Morgan Vega also assisted on Marietti second goal of the game in the 70th minute. Goalkeepers Jennifer Byrd and Isabelle Dyckes each had a save in the shut out win.
