Women's Soccer Ties Oxford 1-1

The Lady Pioneers had a tough battle against Oxford College of Emory University. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.  The Lady Pioneers fell behind when Oxford College's Teddy Khan scored to take a 1- 0 lead in the 20th minute.  With five minutes left in the half the Lady Pioneers equalized when freshman midfielder Heather Turner (Gaston, SC) headed in a set piece cross from sophomore defender Elizabeth Temple (Gilbert, SC).  Both teams created chances in the second half including a chance by Heather Turner that hit the post early in the second half. With the game ending in a tie the Lady Pioneers record is now 5-2-1.
