Women's Soccer Wins 11-0 Against Patrick Henry CC

Spartanburg, SC - The Lady Pioneers played region opponent Patrick Henry Community College and came out strong scoring 7 goals in the first half and went on to win 11-0. Leading the way in scoring was sophomore forward Cailyn Marietti (Charleston, SC) with 4 goals. The SMC women's soccer team is ranked 4th for goals scored in the nation with 66 goals on the year.

Also scoring goals for the Pioneers: Forward Brionna Mack (Swansea, SC) and forward Nathalie Stark (Boiling Springs, SC) both had 2 goals. Defender Kajsa Mertens (Travelers Rest, SC) had 1 goal. Sophomore midfielder Morgan Vega (Summerville, SC) had 1 goal and 2 assist.  Midfielder Heather Turner (Gaston, SC) had 1 goal and an assist. 

 Scoring assist for SMC was Forward Elizabeth McGee (Gaston, SC) with 4 assist, forward Alexis Arrington had 2 assist and midfielder Evelyn Frierson also added one assist.

 

Goalkeeper Jennifer Byrd (Boiling Springs, SC) and freshman goalkeeper Isabella Dyckes combined for the shutout.
