Tramon Jenkins and Brandon Harris Bring Home Titles at Georgia Collegiate Open
Franklin Springs, GA – The Pioneer Wrestling team had three different wrestlers place at the Georgia Collegiate Open this past Saturday, despite missing several starters. Tramon Jenkins and Brandon Harris both went 5-0 on the day and finished on top of the podium and Tramone Jenkins who had 6 matches total (4-2) finished in 4th place.
125lbs Tramon Jenkins (Beaufort, SC) went 5-0 on the day, improving his record to 16-2 overall. Tramon faced two nationally ranked NAIA wrestlers, 15th ranked Michael Beets (Campbellsville University) and 20th ranked Randy McCray (Life University).
149lbs Brandon Harris (Greensboro, NC) also went 5-0 on the day, improving his record to 11-5. He outscored his opponents 50-14, only giving up 1 takedown.
133lbs Tramone Jenkins (Beaufort, SC) finished in 4th place, with a 4-2 record. Jenkins placed for the 3rd time this year, improving his overall record to 14-4. Tramone's big win of the night came against the Kolten Radaz, the number 11th ranked NAIA wrestler from Campbellsville University.
6 out of the 7 wrestlers entered in the tournament won matches for the Pioneers. The Pioneers will be back in action after Thanksgiving Break when they travel to the Niagara County Duals and the Thunderwolves Open on November 30th and December 1st.
