King's 23 Points Leads BCC Men Past Spartanburg Methodist College

The Brunswick CC Dolphins Men's Basketballteam defeated Spartanburg Methodist Collegetoday 84-74 in a key NJCAA Region 10-D1 contest that determined second place in the standings. The Dolphins led 39-34 at the half and the Pioneers made a run to take the lead with four minutes remaining but the Dolphins closed on a 13 to 3 run to complete the game. The win avenged an earlier six point loss at SMC.  Landon King led the Dolphins with 23 points followed by Khouri Carvey, Sam Hood and Jahnarious Snell all with 14. The Dolphins would like to thank the college coaches Danny Manning (University of Louisville), Dip Metress(University of Augusta) and Greg Herenda (Elon University) for coming to scout today's game. The Dolphins play again at home on Tuesday at 6 pm versus Gaston College. The Dolphins will celebrate BCC faculty and staff at the game.
