SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Men's Basketball team moves to 5-9 in conference play, 11-16 overall, after they hosted Spartanburg Methodist College, Saturday afternoon in their final contest of the regular season.
Although Richard Bland trailed 25-29 at the half, the Statesmen came out aggressive in the second half and outscored the Pioneers by seven points, proving to be victorious.
Nathaniel Lacey recorded a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Lacey was also credited with 2 steals and 2 blocks. Eric Wood had 13 points and 5 boards. Kevon West chipped in with 10 points to help push the Statesmen past the Pioneers. Kelby Saunders Jr. and Lance Monteiro chipped in with 5 rebounds each.
Richard Bland men's basketball awaits their final opponents' games to be played before suiting up for the Region 10 Tournament Quarterfinals on March 1st at the higher seed.
