Beach Volleyball Rebounds with 2 Wins on Day 2 of National Tournament
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team moves to 19-8 overall after day two of the NJCAA Inaugural Beach Volleyball National Tournament. In match one, the Statesmen faced Bryant & Stratton College (WI). In match two, the Statesmen faced Region 10 foe, Spartanburg Methodist College.
In match one, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Bobcats from Bryant & Stratton College (WI), 3-0.
Pairing 1: Sarah Heath and Karagyn Durco defeated the Bobcats 21-12 and 21-14.
Pairing 2: Rylie Harris and Leilani Goggin did not complete their match due to the Statesmen already picking up 3 wins.
Pairing 3: Sophia Kaiser and Jadyn Brown did not complete their match due to the Statesmen already picking up 3 wins.
Pairing 4: Sydney Phillips and Morgan Green defeated the Bobcats 21-8 and 21-3.
Pairing 5: Georgia Alexander and Jordan May defeated the Bobcats 21-11 and 21-8.
In match two, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Pioneers from Spartanburg Methodist College, 3-0.
Pairing 1: Sarah Heath and Karagyn Durco did not complete their match due to the Statesmen already picking up 3 wins.
Pairing 2: Rylie Harris and Leilani Goggin defeated the Pioneers 21-15 and 21-6.
Pairing 3: Sophia Kaiser and Jadyn Brown defeated the Pioneers 21-12 and 21-17.
Pairing 4: Sydney Phillips and Morgan Green defeated the Pioneers 21-17 and 21-8.
Pairing 5: Jordan May and Georgia Alexander fell to the Cougars 18-21 and 17-21.
The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team next prepares for day three of the inaugural NJCAA National Tournament at Hickory Point Beach in Tavares, Florida. The Statesmen are set to rematch State College of Florida tomorrow, April 22nd at 9:15am in the consolation round.
