Beach Volleyball Goes 3-0 at Pioneer Tournament
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team moves to 10-2 overall, 9-0 in conference play after traveling to Spartanburg Methodist College for the Pioneer Tournament Friday and Saturday.
In match one, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Pioneers, 3-2.
Pairing 1: Sarah Heath and Karagyn Durco defeated the Pioneers 21-16, 13-21, and 16-14.
Pairing 2: Sophia Kaiser and Leilani Goggin fell to the Pioneers 21-14, 19-21, and 13-15.
Pairing 3: Rylie Harris and Jadyn Brown fell to the Pioneers 14-21 and 18-21.
Pairing 4: Sydney Phillips and Morgan Green defeated the Pioneers 21-16 and 21-14.
Pairing 5: Georgia Alexander and Jordan May defeated the Pioneers 13-21, 21-16, and 15-8.
In match two, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Bobcats 4-1.
Pairing 1: Sarah Heath and Karagyn Durco defeated the Bobcats 21-15 and 21-12.
Pairing 2: Sophia Kaiser and Leilani Goggin defeated the Bobcats 21-12, 19-21, and 15-8.
Pairing 3: Rylie Harris and Jadyn Brown defeated the Bobcats 21-12 and 21-14.
Pairing 4: Sydney Phillips and Morgan Green lost to the Bobcats 21-19, 22-24, and 16-18.
Pairing 5: Georgia Alexander and Jordan May defeated the Bobcats in a forfeit.
In match three, the Statesmen pairs defeated the Rhinos 5-0.
Pairing 1: Sarah Heath and Karagyn Durco defeated the Rhinos 21-18 and 21-14.
Pairing 2: Sophia Kaiser and Leilani Goggin defeated the Rhinos 21-18 and 21-15.
Pairing 3: Rylie Harris and Jadyn Brown defeated the Rhinos 21-13 and 21-14.
Pairing 4: Sydney Phillips and Morgan Green defeated the Rhinos 21-19 and 21-12.
Pairing 5: Georgia Alexander and Jordan May defeated the Rhinos 17-21, 21-13, and 15-4.
The Richard Bland College beach volleyball team next travels to Gaston College for the Rhino Invitational on Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th. The Statesmen will take on Sandhills Community College on Friday, and Gaston College and Catawba College on Saturday.
