Baseball splits with USC Lancaster, move to 25-9 on season

SPARTANBURG, SC., The Pioneers split this weekend's Region X series against USC Lancaster. SMC won the first game on Friday in extra innings on a walk-off 2-run home run by Mason Berne. The second game was a back and forth affair and USCL came out on top with 2 runs in the 7th to split. 

The Pioneers split Saturday's doubleheader with USC Lancaster to earn the series split. USCL came out hot and avoided an SMC comeback in the first game to win 11-8. SMC had to comeback to win the second game, scoring 9 runs in the 6th inning to win 12-8.
