#8 Pioneers Hold on against Catawba Valley

Spartanburg Methodist College men's basketball continued their winning ways with a 68-62 win against Catawba Valley. The Pioneers have now won ten straight games and improve to 10-0 on the season. 

Sophomore Dajohn Rowland scored a team high 14 points on 6-8 shooting from the field. Ronell Crockett (13 points) and Jalen Nesbitt (12 points) also scored double figure points for the Pioneers.  Tobias Pinson and Nesbitt had a team high six rebounds on the evening.

"We did not play our best basketball tonight," said head coach Jeff Brookman. "Catawba Valley was well prepared and competed at a high level. I was very pleased to see the guys grind it out on the defensive end. We will get right back after it tomorrow with the mindset of getting better every day."

The Pioneers return to action on Sunday as they travel to take on Region X foe Denmark Tech at 4 PM.
