Marquise Simuels chosen as NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2014-15 NJCAA All-America teams for all divisions of men's and women's basketball were released Tuesday. 

On top of being named First Team All-Region, runner up Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, freshman Marquise Simuel has picked up another post season award.  Simuel, a 6'4 forward from Columbia, SC was named Honorable Mention All-American by the members of the NJCAA.  For the year, Simuel averaged 17.4 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game. He lead the Pioneer in both statistical categories. 

Simuel is the third Pioneer in the last four years to garner All-American status. Mario Pendarvis was named Second Team All-American during the 2011-2012 season, while Ronell Crockett was named Honorable Mention All-American during the 2012-2013 season.
