Simuel, Dark and Motley Earn All-Region Honors

SPARTANBURG, SC- Coming off a 19-11 season and a third place finish in Region X play, the Pioneers placed three players on the All-Region teams. Freshman Marquise Simuel was named First Team All-Region, runner-up Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year for the 2014-15 season while Sophomores Brannon Dark and Nate Motley were named Second Team All-Region. 

Simuel lead the Pioneers in both points and rebounds. He averaged 17.4 PPG and 9.5 RPG in route to one of the best statistical seasons in SMC history. For the season, Simuel scored 506 points. Dark was second on the team in rebounds and third in points. He averaged 10.9 PPG and 7.9 RPG. Dark shoot an outstanding 67.5% from the field, which ranked 6th in the country.  Motley, a 6'0 PG, was second on the team in points and first in assists. He averaged 12.9 PPG and 3.9 APG.
