SPARTANBURG, SC., Spartanburg Methodist College Men's basketball team improved to 6-2 on the year with a 89-62 win over East Georiga State College on Wednesday night in Bridges Arena.
TJ Sheppard (North Augusta, SC / North Augusta High) led the Pioneers in scoring with 17 points. Daniel Bridges (Boiling Springs, SC / Landrum/USC Upstate) scored 15 points and added 6 rebounds. Marquise Simuels (Columbia, SC / AC Flora High) led the Pioneers on the boards with 11 and scored 9 points.
SMC travels to Niceville, Fl this weekend to compete in the Northwest Florida State Classic. The Pioneers play Northwest Florida State College on Saturday and Gulf Coast State College on Sunday. The Pioneers will return home Tuesday to play Roane State Community College.
