Anthony Adger leads SMC Men's Basketball to Region X win

SPARTANBURG, SC., Spartanburg Methodist College Men's Basketball improved to 4-3 in Region X play with Tuesday nights 70-59 win over Clinton Junior College. Clinton defeated SMC earlier in the year 91-87, the Pioneers are now 21-6 on the season and sit in second place in the Region X regular season standings. 

Anthony Adger (Iva, SC / Crescent High) filled up the stat sheet for SMC with 18 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds. Marquise Simuels (Columbia, SC / AC Flora High) (15 points) and Malik Gaffney (14 points) also played well. Anthony McGhee (Greenville, SC / Southside High) added 8 points for the Pioneers. 

SMC controlled a 34-29 halftime lead and went 14-16 from the free throw line. 

The Pioneers hit the road this weekend as they travel to the North Carolina coast to take on Cape Fear Community College and Brunswick Community College.
