Men's Basketball Heads into Christmas Break with 14-2 record.

Spartanburg, SC — As the Spartanburg Methodist student-athletes headed out of their locker room after Saturdays 123-69 victory over Vance-Granville Community College, they go into the Christmas Break with a 14-2 record.

"We are all very fortunate to be able to have an extended Christmas Break and to be able to spend time with our families. We have had a good start to the year,'' Cremins said. "They've done everything the staff and I could have asked. We have played some really good teams and played some really good basketball but as we move forward with the second half of the season we have seen some things that we need to improve on.''

The Pioneers will get three weeks off before returning to campus on January 7th to prepare for their Region X Conference foe USC-Salkehatchie on January 14th at 4pm in Bridges Arena.

"The guys will return the 7th and we will start practicing right away,'' said Cremins, " We will have a week to start getting ready for USC-Salk. Corey (Head Coach of USC-Salk) does a great job and always has his team very well prepared. They are playing really well and already have two Division I signees. We look forward to the challenge."
