SMC Takes a Tough Loss Against Denmark Tech

Denmark, SC - SMC men's basketball opened its 2018-19 conference schedule at Denmark Tech, the same place that its 2017-18 conference schedule ended. However, this one would have a different result than the March meeting. Wednesday night, the Pioneers stretched their lead to as much as 15 in the first half on a streak of 3-pointers made by Kris White and Jalen Hillery which allowed SMC to go into the break leading by 12. The halftime cushion would not last very long as Denmark came out very aggressive on both ends of the floor. DTC's pressure defensively got to the Pioneers, resulting in 12 second half turnovers (22 Total). Many of which were conversions for Denmark. Denmark would go on to win 84-79.

Men's basketball will be looking to make a comeback Saturday December 8th at 4:00pm against Cape Fear Community College in the Bridges Arena.
