Men's Basketball Wins Home Opener

After starting the 2019-20 season on the road for the first six games, SMC Men’s Basketball hosted Combine Academy (Teal) for its home opener Tuesday night in a 102-78 victory. The young Pioneers started off very slow and were unable to put together consecutive stops early in the first half, but later picked up the defensive intensity and move the ball in an effective fashion allowing them to find easy baskets. Six players scored in double-figures (listed below). As a team, they recorded a few season-highs of 37 assist and 18 threes. Men’s Basketball will be back at home in action Saturday, November 23 for a matchup against Louisburg College.
