Herd leads Men's Golf

The Pioneer Men's Golf team competed in The Trojan Invitational hosted by Mount Olive University this past Monday and Tuesday.

The team finished 7th out of 9 teams but defeated the other 2 junior college teams in the tournament, Wake Tech and Johnston CC. The Pioneers shot 309-309. Freshman Briar Herd led the team with scores of 78-76.

The other scores were:

Matthew Meetze: 76-79

Jack Alexander: 81-77

Bernie McShane: 81-78

Travis Smith: 74-85

The men's team competes next Monday and Tuesday at the NJCAA District 4 Championship at Stonebridge CC hosted by Darton State College.
