2016-17 Looks to be record year for Pioneer Golf Programs

If last year was any indication for the golf programs, 2016-2017 looks to be a record year for the golf programs. The men's team brings back four of the top five from the 18th ranked Pioneers and Sophomore Brooke Hutto will lead the women's team. Brooke finished last year ranked in the top 30 individually in the country. "We have a very large men's team which creates competition within the team and the women's team looks to be stronger than last year with addition of Paige Johnson (Spartanburg, SC), Meghan Thompson (Greenville, SC), and Shannon Heerey (Meath, Ireland)" says coach Kyle Owings. "I am so proud and happy with the returning and new freshman class and look forward to continuing our winning ways at Spartanburg Methodist College" concluded Owings. The Pioneers start their season in September at the Anderson University Invitational.
