Pioneers wins Sandhills Spring Invitational. Corn captures 1st collegiate win.
The Spartanburg Methodist College men's golf team starts the spring season with a victory at the Sandhills Spring Invitational at Country Club of Whispering Pines. Leading wire to wire with the scores of 302-302, the men's team were able to capture back-to-back team champions. The Pioneers were led by Jake Corn who was tied for the lead after the first day with a 74, he finishes strong with a 74 to capture the individual title. Following Corn, Sophomore Matthew Terry fires 76-74 to finish 2nd individually. Also finishing in the top 5 is Hunter Parks who fired 78-74 to claim 4th. To round up the men's team Sophomore Zach Herold shoots 74-80 and Brandon Hill 81-80. Representing the men's program individually Caleb Brown fires 84-83, Bryce Miley 84-80, and Justin Prozzi 84-81.
