Pioneers Capture SCC Intercollegiate at Talamore

The Pioneers men's golf team came out victorious at the Sandhills Community College Intercollegiate. They were led by Kershaw native Caleb Brown who fired 78-74 = 152 and finished 5th individually. Freshman Josh Sprouse shaved 9 strokes from the first day, shooting 82-73 = 155. Keith Froling fired 73-85 = 158, while Chandler Thomas and Justin Prozzi rounded up the Pioneers with the two day total of 160. "After being 3 shots behind the lead after the first day, the guys really got together to grind out a great team win. They realized every shot was important and basically scratched and clawed their way to a team victory." Quoted Coach Arran Setro.
