Mens Golf Finishes 8th in the District IV Championships, Qualifies for NJCAA DI National Tournament

Marion, IL - The Pioneer men's golf team competed in the NJCAA District IV Championships hosted by John A. Logan Community College.  The team placed 8th  overall and which qualified them for NJCAA National Golf Championships in Melbourne, Florida on May 14th- 15th. 

 

During the District Championships, the first 36 holes greeted the players with extremely high winds making the course conditions very difficult. However,  Freshman Montgomery Harrison (Evans, GA) led the Pioneers with 75-79-81 = 235. Sophomore Josh Sprouse (Boiling Springs, SC) followed Harrison up with a score of 78-83-76 = 237.  Sophomore Grayson Crawford (Greenville, SC) also finished it off for the Pioneers with a 76 after rounds of 81-85.

Chandler Thomas 87-88-83 = 258
