Pioneers Advance to National Championship

The Pioneers narrowly escaped a loaded District Championship in Cullman, Alabama at The TP Country Club to advance to the NJCAA National Championship in Odessa, TX in two weeks.

The top 7 schools advanced. SMC  edged out Snead State CC to advance. This is the first time in 4 years SMC has qualified for the national tournament.

"I am proud of this group of young men. This was the goal and now we get to set another goal of competing for a national title" says Coach Kyle Owings.

Andrew Greene and Davis Hill led the way for the Pioneers. Corbin Pye continued his solid spring play.

Central Alabama won the team portion followed by Eastern Florida State.
