Southeast District Championship Recap for Men's Golf
The Pioneers finished in 7th place as a team this past week at Viera East Golf Club in Rockledge, Florida. The team shot rounds of 310, 308, and 311 to finish with a 54-hole total of 929. Freshman David Ross led the team with rounds of 77, 71, and 74 to finish in 6th place individually. Junior Lane Whitsell also had a strong showing with rounds of 73, 76, and 78 to finish in T14th. "Our guys stepped up and played well when it mattered this week. I am so proud of the way the guys battled through having several weather delays" says Coach Tyler Jones. With their Southeast District performance, the Pioneers have earned a spot in the 2023 NJCAA National Championship. They return to action on May 16th at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas.
