Pioneers Bring Home the Championship at the Bruins Golf Classic

The Pioneers started the fall season off with a win at the 10th Annual Bruins Classic being played at Cobb’s Glen Golf Club in Anderson, SC. This is the second year in a row the Pioneers are victorious in this tournament. The team shot rounds of 295 and 317 to finish with a 36-hole total of 612, which secured a four-shot victory. Sophomore Wyatt Harrill led the team with rounds of 73 and 78 to finish in 4th place individually. Tim Ross (5th), Reid Weathers (T6th), and Bryson Paris (T10th) also placed inside the top ten individually. "This week was an excellent start to the season. Multiple freshmen started their college careers this week and played great despite having some nerves to overcome. I am looking forward to seeing how the guys play the rest of the season" says Coach Tyler Jones. The Pioneers return to action on September 25th at Cherokee Ridge Country Club in Union Grove, Alabama.
