2019-2020 Pre-season Look into SMC Men's Soccer

SMC Men's Soccer kicks off the 2019 season campaign, aiming to have an impactful season in the conference with the focus on qualifying for the NJCAA National Tournament. The Pioneers are coming off an 18-7 overall record during the 2018 season. A season that saw the Pioneers fall short in the District Semi-Final to Georgia Military. The Pioneers returned 9 players from the 2018 squad and will look to build very quickly with the incoming freshman.

Head Coach Kyle Hughes has a very tough 2019 schedule, one where he feels it will be beneficial to reaching the teams' goal of the NJCAA National Tournament. "Our Region and District is one of the hardest to win so playing a tough schedule will hopefully help us prepare for post-season play", said Coach Hughes.

The Pioneers kick things off at home on August 31 against Cape Fear Community College at 4pm.
