Louisburg Took the Victory Against SMC

The Spartanburg Methodist College Men’s Soccer Team took on nationally ranked Louisburg College this past Saturday. A tough fought contest between both teams saw a 1-0 scoreline at halftime. The Pioneers gave up the first goal off a weird bounce from the pitch. In the second half Louisburg College scored two goals off of set pieces to secure the victory.

“This was a game of where you saw a better version of what we can do in the first half and a second half of simple mistakes that have impacted our season”, said Coach Hughes

The Spartanburg Methodist College Men’s Soccer Team will shift focus to a Wednesday Region Tournament matchup against Wake Tech Community College at 2:30pm.
