Men's Soccer Come Out on Top 4-1

The Spartanburg Methodist College men's soccer team played its second Region 10 matchup against USC-Lancaster this past Saturday where the Pioneers came out on top 4-1.

The Pioneers came out very strong in the first half by scoring 2 goals as Freshmen Bradley Jenkins got things off the mark. In the second half, Sophomore Daquan Gadsden and Sophomore Sebastian Duenas were able to put 2 more goals on the board to get the win for the Pioneers.

Head Coach Kyle Hughes feels the team still needs to work on a few things in order to be ready for the games to come. “We play in a tough region where any team can surprise you on any given game day so we have to get better in all aspects”, said Coach Hughes.

The Pioneers move to 2-0 on the season and are back in action on Saturday, September 14 against Cape Fear CC at 3pm.
