In singles, Hufelder (Jr.) Duarte continued his stellar play with a well earned 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 victory at #1 singles, over The Citadels Mike Anazalone(Queens, New York). The well played match lasted over 2.5 hours and was tied at 4-4 in the final set.

Coach Patlen' thoughts: Congratulations to The Citadel on their victory today. Their team has a lot of character and showed us great sportsmanship. It was great to be back on my home courts, on the stadium at Clemson. I spent hundreds of hours and hit thousands of balls on those courts. I want to thank Clemson Head Coach John Boescth, coach Chuck McCuen, and Coach Kriese for granting us the opportunity to play on Clemsons stadium courts. It was a very exciting day for our team.

I would like to praise Hufelder(Jr.) and Austin for a tremendous job in doubles. They played to a very high standard. Also, I would like to commend Hufelder on a great 3rd set victory. This was his second tough match of the day and he showed great tenacity!
