Men and Women's Tennis Traveled to Oxford, Georgia

Men and Women's Tennis traveled to Oxford, GA to play Oxford College of Emory University on Saturday, September 28th. 

The Men's tennis team played and lost 1-8 to a very competitive team. Many of the games played in each match were very close, and could have gone either way. Stratas Anastopoulo (#1 Singles) and SMC sophomore, won his match 6-4, 6-3. He is now 3-0 for the season. He desires to go D1 next year, and is off to a good start this season. Sophomore and Singles #6 Charles Cooper played and lost his first singles college match. 

The SMC Women's tennis team played and lost 0-8 to Oxford at Emory. Many of the games played in each match were very close and could have gone either way. Madeline Turner (#2 Singles) and SMC freshman lost a tough match 3-6,1-6. 

The Lady Pioneers will travel to Newberry College on October 11th and then both Men and Women's Tennis will compete again at Johnson University on October 19th.
