Indoor Season Wraps for Track & Field

The Pioneers returned to Winston-Salem, North Carolina this weekend ready to close out the indoor season.

In the men’s 200 meter dash, freshman Romeo Brown would place 3rd overall with his second fastest time of the season, once again posting a top 50 time in the NJCAA. Malik Job saw steady improvement in the 200 meter dash, re-writing his season’s best by six tenths of a second.

In the mile, Sophia Outhous jumped into the top 10 in SMC history in her 4th event of the indoor season. She would negative split the race with a huge second half to run the #60 time in the NJCAA this season. A personal best of 5:38.95 cements Sophia at the 3rd fastest miler in SMC history. Luke Kochanowicz got another shot at the mile himself and he did not let this one go, Posting a new lifetime best and the 7th fastest time in school history!

Pioneers are back in action on March 2nd, at Southern Wesleyan University to open the outdoor track and field season.
