Pioneer XC stays sharp

The Pioneer Mens and Womens Cross Country team had a very good showing at the USCB Sand Shark invitational finishing 8th overall.  There were 28 four year schools competing and SMC was the only two year school.  

The Womens team was led by Betsy Douglas (4th place) and Catie Byrd (11th place) with time of 18:22 and 18:43 respectively and the Mens team was led by Omar Shariff (25th place) who had a time of 25:54.  

SMC will be back in action in two weeks at the NJCAA National Champioonships in Fort Dodge, Iowa on November 9th.
