Men's cross country team runs hard at Region X Championship

Louisburg, N.C., The men's cross country team had a tough race in front of them if they had any chance of pulling out a victory at the Region X Champsionship meet at Owens Park, Louisburg, NC.  The men's team made great effort but fall short in the race and finished behind #6 ranked Louisburg.

Joel Mercaldo and Logan Miller finished in the top ten and received All-Region honors for the men's team.   "I believe as a whole, this was the best I have seen the guys run this season.  The performance times were off a spot or two in a couple of positions but they ran with a common goal today.  The togetherness was a huge step for them.  So even with the loss, it was a big win for the steps needed for this program"  says Ken Roach 

Kole Koterba, Patrick Starosto, Brad Daniels, Toney Nesbitt, and Harrison Moore represented SMC men's team at the race.  

The team will not take any breaks as they prepare for the half marathon portion of their schedule and get ready for the 13.1 race in Charleston, SC on Oct. 29th.
