SPARTANBURG, SC:  The Spartanburg Methodist Softball team will look to capture their first Region 10 Tournament title since 2009 after coming in runner up for the past four seasons this weekend. SMC (33-12) will enter the tourney as the #2 seed with a Region record of 12-2.

Pitt Community College (25-5) will be the #1 seed in the tourney with a 14-2 region record. The Pioneers had two games rained out against USC Sumter that could not be made up, giving SMC no shot at the #1 seed.

SMC and Pitt CC split their regular season series earlier this month, both teams swept their regular season series against the other Region 10 teams. 

Louisburg College (18-19) will enter the tourney as the #4 seed and face off against the #5 seed USC Salkehatchie (2-27) at 10:30am on Friday. SMC will play at 1:00pm against #3 USC Sumter (7-13). Pitt CC will receive the first round bye.

Coming into town on US 401, turn (left if you're coming from the south, or right if you're coming from the north) onto Noble Street. Then turn right onto North Main Street and go one block. The college will be on your left.
