SPARTANBURG, SC- 14th ranked Spartanburg Methodist College (34-8) took two of three games from Pitt Community College on Saturday afternoon to wrap up first place for the regular season and the #1 seed for this weekend's Region X Tournament.
Caroline Hill added three more home runs including a grand slam and went 8-9 on the day with 9 runs batted in. Hill now has 14 long balls and 59 rbi's on the year. Bailey Pearson hit two home runs giving her four for the season and Carson O' Donald added her ninth of the year. The Lady Pioneers (13-2) have now hit 48 home runs this season.
Carson O'Donald earned the win in game one while Eliza Long got the win in game two and Bailey Pearson earned the save.
The Pioneers will play again Saturday at 10:00am in the second round of the Region X Tournament in Winterville, NC.
