West Hendersonville Outfielder Inks With SMC Softball

Spartanburg Methodist College Softball signs Kristen Gass, outfielder, from West Hendersonville High School in North Carolina.  Coach Frizzell added "Kristen comes from a great travel ball team that fits our philosophy here at SMC, so I feel Kristen should fit right in immediately with what goes on here.  She is a wonderful young lady and works hard both on and off the softball field.  We are looking forward to two great years with her."

When asked why Kristen choose SMC over other colleges and universities across the nation, she mentioned "I chose to continue my softball career at SMC because I felt so welcome there.  It was a school that I could see myself wearing the jersey and playing with my whole heart and continuing to push myself to get better."
