Lady Pioneers Split With The Cobras

The Lady Pioneers went to Lenoir, NC this past Saturday to play the Caldwell Cobras.

Game 1, Lost 3-4: Caitlyn Cox was on the mound for game one. She struck out 6 batters and she hit a home run in game one, giving the Pioneers 2 out of the 3 runs scored. SMC only had 4 strikeouts but flew out 13 times.

Game 2, Won 7-5: SMC made the adjustments and had 14 hits in game two. Three home runs by Gracie Cobb, Bailee New, and Jenna Venturelli. Caver, Spradley, and Andrews pitched for the Lady Pioneers in game two. 

SMC softball will be at home Friday and Saturday at 1 and 3 pm.

Friday- Cleveland Community College 

Saturday- Gaston College
