SMC Coach: Caroline Hill (Softball)

Softball Coach- Caroline Hill

How many years have you been a coach and how many have been at SMC?

  • I have been a coach for 3 years, two years have been at SMC. After I graduated college, I was a Graduate Assistant at Converse College for a year. I left Converse and took a full-time position as a Maintenance Tech at Tyger River Park and was the volunteer assistant at SMC. During that season as the assistant, I became the Head Interim and finished the 2018-19 season. In May of 2019, I was offered the head position at SMC and I accepted. This past season was my first official season as a head coach.

Why did you choose to become a coach?

  • I chose to become a coach because I have a huge passion for the game and I honestly couldn’t see myself doing anything else in life.

What is your favorite part about being a coach?

  • My favorite part of being a coach is getting to know these girls as individuals, watching them grow each year, and then helping them continue on after SMC.

What do you do during your free time?

  • During my free time I enjoy kayaking and going to the mountains. I also love spending time with my family, friends and of course my dog, Dolly!
