Lady Pioneers drop final regular season contest

Spartanburg Methodist College traveled to Clinton Junior College today for their final Region X regular season game. SMC (12-13 and 3-3) trailed Clinton by nine at the half 31-22 but had a chance late in the second half to pick up the road win. SMC  shot 2-22 from the three point line on the evening and 16-28 from the free throw line. 

Tamornay Harris (13 points- six boards) and Brittany Wheeler were the only Pioneers in double figures. Morgan Alexander added seven points and 12 boards. 

Tori Whittenberg- 7 (4 steals) Chelsea Siebles 2, Raziya Prince 9, Mariah Williams 8, Katie Dyches 5, Crystle Samuel 2.  

The Lady Pioneers will advance to Region X Tournament play next Friday as they host Clinton Junior College. The winner will take on regular season champ Denmark Tech.
