Lady Pioneers fall to Clinton JC

Lady Pioneers fall to Clinton JC

Spartanburg, SC, A slow start from the field in the first half put the Lady Pioneers in a hole they could not climb out of in their Region X opener against Clinton Junior College. The Lady Pioneers trailed 27-13 at the half but started the second half on a 9-0 run and trailed 29-24 with 13:00 minutes to play. Clinton increased their lead to 40-23 with 7:35 left and held on for the 52-38 win. 

Rose Robinson (Dutch Fork High) and Jada Martin (Fairfield Central) led SMC with nine points each. Heather Champman (Summerville High) added seven points. Ten Pioneers scored in the game. 

 

SMC (7-9) returns to action Thursday as they host Louisburg College (10-4) at 5:30pm.
