ROCK HILL, SC- The Women's Basketball team traveled to Clinton Junior College on Saturday for a Region X matchup. The Lady Pioneers (10-14) came away with a much needed Region X win snapping a three game loosing streak. The Pioneers led 30-26 at the half and had a strong offensive showing in the second half scoring 48 points to seal the road win 78-67.
Freshman guard Jada Martin (Winnsboro, SC / Fairfield Central) led the Pioneers with 26 points. Heather Chapman (Summerville, SC / Summerville High) dropped 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Rose Robinson (Irmo, SC / Dutch Fork High) added 10 points, five assists, and eight rebounds. Termira Bonner (Gaffney, SC / Gaffney High) added 10 points and six boards.
Nine of the eleven Pioneers scored.
The Lady Pioneers will return to action on Thursday as they host Clinton Junior College at 5:30pm in Bridges Arena.
