Pioneers Defeat East Georgia, 67-60

After an extended exam break, the Pioneers come out of the gate leading after the first quarter, 19-13 and then finished the game scoring 22 in the final quarter to defeat East Georgia in Bridges Arena.

Jayla Hopkins finished with 24 points to lead the team.  Ta’Keria Leggette (16) and Aliyah Whiteside (13) both played a huge role in the win.

Next up is Walters State at home (2:00pm) tomorrow.
