Owings Announces 2014 Signing Class

Spartanburg, SC

Nikita Arjun and Tiffany Lancaster have committed to play golf at Spartanburg Methodist College for the Fall of 2014. "Nikita and Tiffany both have demonstrated a high level of golf and competitiveness and I feel certain they will be leaders on the team immediately this fall" says Coach Kyle Owings

Nikita Arjun is currently enrolled at the International Golf Academy in Hilton Head, SC. She is originally from India and in 2011, she won the BPGC Ladies Amateur Golf Championship in Mumbai, India. She is currently ranked number 1 on the IJGT tour and most recently finished second at the IJGT Major Championship at Palmetto Dunes with scores of 77-71.

Tiffany Lancaster comes from Woodruff, SC and is currently completing her senior year at Woodruff High School. The school has no women's team, so Tiffany has played on the men's team for the last four years. She has consistently been a top three golfer on the men's team while attending Woodruff. Tiffany has over 8 years of playing experience and will be a strong addition to the golf program.

The 2014-2015 season looks to be promising for the Pioneers. The program has five returning sophomores along with the two incoming freshman.
