Rain Shortens Tusculum Invite, Herold and Hutto Shine

GREENEVILLE, TN., The Tusculum College Invitational in Greeneville, TN was plagued by rain on Tuesday and was shortened to only 27 holes. Tusculum College held off the field in both the men's and women's portion of the team competition. Mars Hill College both crowned individual champions: 1  Charles Hartzog 66-33=99 and Emma Lundwell 73 38=111.

Brooke Hutto (Aiken, SC/South Aiken) carded a T-7 finish in the NCAA Division 2 event with 77-40=117 and fellow freshman Zachery Herold (Lexington, SC/Lexington High)  fired a 75-34=109 to finish in the top 15 and lead the Pioneers.

The Pioneers have three weeks off before the women get back into action at the Converse College Invitational sponsored by Founders Federal Credit Union.
