Pioneers capture the Sandhills Spring Invitational. Heerey captures Individual title.

The Spartanburg Methodist College Women's golf team started the spring season with a victory at the Sandhills Spring Invitational.  Sophomore Shannon Heerey, who captured the individual crown, led the Pioneers.  Heerey started off the 2^nd round tied for the lead after shooting an 86.  Heerey closes strong by firing a 77 to capture the victory.  Helping the team capture the team title, Sophomore Brooke Hutto fires 86-89 and Megan Thompson 96-89.  Rounding out the team, Freshman Paige Johnson fires 96-96.

The Pioneers Women's golf team will continue their spring season at the Cavalier Invitational hosted by Montreat College on March 5-7^th.
