Joy Outhous at the National Championship

Freshman Joy Outhous represented the Pioneers in the NJCAA Women’s Golf National Championship this week at Buffalo Dunes Golf Club in Garden City, Kansas. Outhous opened the tournament with an 86 in round one. She battled high winds in rounds two and three to shoot, 86 and 82, respectively. Outhous finished round four with two birdies in the last three holes to card an 82, wrapping up her freshman year for the Pioneers. “Joy played really well this week. She adapted to the conditions and kept her head up after a couple of bad holes earlier in the tournament. I’m excited to see what she can do next year,” said Coach Sara Allen. This was the last event of the year for the Pioneers, they will return to action this fall.
